Big Creek Parkway Replacement

Located in the Rocky River Reservation in Strongsville, ARCADIS designed the replacement of this 34-foot span over Baldwin Creek. Completed in 1999 at a construction cost of $366,800, the new structure is a 59-foot single-span bridge with a prestressed concrete box beam superstructure supported on capped pile abutments. A composite concrete deck and integral abutments were designed to minimize future maintenance. The bridge railing was selected based on a study that determined the most pleasing type of railing to users that would meet structural design requirements.
