Detroit Wastewater Treatment Plant

Detroit, MI

ARCADIS is a member of a Detroit Wastewater Partners (DWP) joint venture team that is providing program management for the Detroit Water and Sewerage Department's five-year, $550 million program to rehabilitate the Detroit Wastewater Treatment Plant. The DWP mission is to manage the project conception, design, procurement and construction phases of 30+ projects. This program is exciting and challenging, an at-risk project with a tight deadline. ARCADIS developed a Master Shutdown Schedule (MSS) that is utilized to manage the plant shutdowns; shutdown coordination to minimize impacts on the WWTP and make the best use of downtime to facilitate plant maintenance work on equipment. The team also coordinates the sequencing of projects to minimize impacts on the plant capacity. ARCADIS staff is currently performing the transition training for Detroit Water and Sewerage Department staff to maintain the MSS.
