Strategic planning/consultancy/management

The first step in your project is always a thorough investigation of, and familiarity with, local conditions. For this reason it is necessary to start work by defining procedures for researching a property's past.

Based on this work we develop an investigative program for the purpose of identifying hazards. The individual services we provide in the course of this phase of a project are:
  • Determining the basic facts by scrutinizing and evaluating all available documents
  • Studying files from archives and official agencies
  • Checking the general situation, interviewing relevant witnesses, carrying out site inspections and drawing maps, analysis of aerial and satellite photographs, map analysis
  • Building on these fundamentals, an exact analysis or preliminary study to estimate the scope of the problem, any potential hazard, and a rehabilitation strategy
  • Based on the analysis and the results of the preliminary study, advice and estimates of the potential hazards, scope of rehabilitation, rehabilitation strategy, and drafting of rehabilitation concepts in a manner which takes into account the rehabilitation goals and cost/benefit analyses
  • Finally, the hazard estimate establishes the hazard potential and answers questions related to the urgency of rehabilitation, or the need for security and monitoring measures.
