Denver, Colo. – Sept. 19, 2007 - ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consulting and engineering company, today announced that Matthew Wilson, PhD, has joined our Highlands Ranch corporate office as senior economist and business analyst.

In his new position, Wilson will be working with our Strategic Environmental Services sector within our Environmental division. His responsibilities will include supporting the growth of our economics and business consulting practice and developing new market opportunities in sustainable business management. He will be taking the lead with two new initiatives, greenhouse gas and climate change economics and business consulting and environmental asset appraisal and valuation.

With over a decade of experience, Wilson has developed, trained and led international interdisciplinary research teams and public-private sector partnerships. Recognized as an international expert in the field of ecosystem service valuation and sustainable business strategy, Wilson has authored and co-authored numerous books and papers related to ecological management and ecosystem assessment.

Prior to joining ARCADIS, Wilson was assistant research professor of strategy and management at the University of Vermont School of Business Administration in Burlington, Vermont. He concurrently held a position as research fellow at the Gund Institute of Ecological Economics at the University of Vermont where he remains as an adjunct assistant professor.
