Charleston, S.C. – Oct. 29, 2007 - ARCADIS (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the international consulting and engineering company, announced today that construction will begin on the upscale neighborhood Mallard Landing. The development is designed to work in harmony with nature and has unique features that will enhance the experience of the tenants and the region. 

The contract was awarded to ARCADIS by Estes Development Company for surveying, planning and engineering services for the development and also includes a new offsite water main that will convey public water from highway 402, along Witherbee Road, to the site and throughout the Mallard Landing community.

This one of a kind community includes 40 single-family residential subdivision lots on over 78 acres. Sustainable solutions incorporate existing shallow land depressions and lakes for detention and 1.5 miles of low impact walking trails that allow residents to enjoy over 13 acres of open space, retaining the intrinsic beauty of the neighborhood.
